Tell us about the moment you found out you would be featured in the magazine. What was your initial reaction? When I first found out that I would be in FHM honestly, I couldn’t believe it. When I was a little girl, I used to look at this magazine and look at all the beautiful girls and think to myself I wish I could be in this magazine when I grow up. So it is a dream come true to be featured in FHM USA.
Can you share your favorite shot or spread from the magazine and why it holds special significance for you? My favorite shot and FHM is of me with my headphones. This shot holds special significance to me because I am a DJ. I have worked hard in my life to have a successful career as a DJ, and I have accomplished that. I absolutely love being a DJ and the best part of being a DJ is when I see everyone having a good time, dancing, and knowing it’s because of the music I am playing. This shot also means a lot to me to be featured in FHM, as not only a model but as a successful DJ.
When you’re not working, what helps you decompress and relax? When I’m not working what helps me decompress and relax is a good meal and spending time with my family. I also enjoy watching my son Rock play golf.
What’s the strangest fan encounter you’ve ever had? The strangest fan encounter I have had besides someone, jumping on the stage during the middle of one of my sets and getting arrested, was when I was at a gig & this male walked up to the DJ booth with a drink, in each hand, he would stop and stare at me for two minutes turn around, walk away for two minutes come back to stare at me again, walk away, put his drink down, then points at me and says “come to me” I could read his lips he would do that over and over for like 30 minutes it was very strange but it could’ve also been the alcohol talking lol.
What’s the best “wardrobe malfunction” story that you can now laugh about? The best wardrobe malfunction I can think of is when I was streaming live on Twitch at home I was doing a Britney Spears dj set and one of the outfits I had on was a tiny bikini, and I was dancing like I was Britney Spears all in my zone and apparently, my bikini top slid to the right, and I looked at the chat, and everyone kept saying Wardrobe malfunction and I completely ignored it and then I looked at the chat again and they said Steph you gotta fix your bikini top. I looked down and my bikini top was halfway over my nipple this was a live stream and on Twitch, you are not allowed to show any nudity because u can get banned SMH lol I was so embarrassed because I was literally dancing around not knowing that half of my boob was showing, it’s pretty funny now when I think about it, I actually have the whole thing on video.
What are some of your biggest dreams you hope to achieve? My number one biggest dream is to watch my son Rock grow to be successful in anything and everything he wants to do. This is a dream that I know will keep coming true as long as I keep working hard to give him everything he needs to have a good education and be the best golfer he can be. Also, some of my biggest dreams that I would like to achieve are to perform at the EDC Festival as a headliner and have a residency as a headliner at one of the biggest clubs in Las Vegas as well. I have had many headlining gigs, but to have a residency would be amazing.
What’s the weirdest beauty tip or trick you’ve picked up? I’d say one of the weirdest beauty tips I’ve picked up is using a cold spoon under my eyes when I feel tired. It looks really weird but it actually makes your eyes feel a lot better and less tired.
If you were stranded on a deserted island with only one accessory, what would it be? If I was stranded on a desert island, the one accessory that I would have to have with me would be my big cozy blanket, I love being cozy and comfortable.
What’s your go-to guilty pleasure snack? OMG, I always feel guilty when I eat potato chips and chocolate that is definitely my go-to guilty pleasure snack! The salt from the chips & the sweetness from the chocolate mmm so delicious but man do I feel guilty eating them.
What is the absolute worst thing a man can do to completely put you off? The worst thing that a man could do to completely put me off is lie to me. I absolutely hate lies. I always say you’re better off telling me the truth, even if it hurts me, than lying to me, and never being trusted again.
What advice would you give to aspiring models? The best advice I could give to aspiring models is to set yourself a goal and don’t give up until you reach it. Make sure that you always have that one person or manager you can trust who helps you reach your goals. Be yourself, have your own style, and don’t be scared to be different. Promote yourself as much as possible, work hard, then play harder.
