Adesanya vs. Cannonier is the headline event
Naturally, many fans will be tuning in to UFC 276 to watch the best fighters go against each other, which is why there is a lot of interest in the headline event of this card.
Adesanya and Cannonier will go head to head in five 5-minute rounds inside the Octagon to come out as the World Middleweight Champion. “The Last Stylebender” is the current champion, and with a record of 22-1-0 in his professional career, many are expecting him to come out victorious.
In fact, according to the available UFC betting odds, Adesanya has been priced at -360 to come out on top against Cannonier, who has been provided with odds of +270. However, it is worth noting that the American fighter is an accomplished UFC star; boasting a record of 15-5-0.
Both men have won their last two fights after suffering a defeat via unanimous decision, the current champion is one that many are backing at this stage.
Volkanovski vs. Holloway is the third time it has happened
The contest between Volkanovski and Holloway is another bout that many UFC fans will want to see, as it will see the pair compete against each other for the third time. The last two fights that were contested between the duo ended in a decision win for Volkanovski, but the American Holloway will be hoping that the third time’s the charm.
However, many are backing the Australian to come out on top, with the Champion priced at -190. This is perhaps due to the fact that he has an impressive 24-1-0 record. Nonetheless, the fighter out of Hawaii has been priced at +150, thus not completely out of the contest. It is perhaps important to note that his 23-6-0 record is impressive, but two of those defeats were to his opponent on July 2.
Notwithstanding, this bout certainly appears to be one that will provide excellent UFC action, as both of the previous fights between the two competitors went the distance and required a decision.
Final Thoughts
Naturally, the two title fights will be the biggest events of the night, but there are some other bouts that will really capture the fans’ interest.
Although we have only looked at two of the fights on the stacked 13-fight card, there is no denying that UFC 276 has all the ingredients to be a memorable event and one that can provide fans with all the action that they crave from inside the octagon.
