Meet Nyla Fuller, our gorgeous Canadian girl-next-door. Nyla is a fitness model, business professional and avid food lover. When she isn’t working, traveling or shooting, she confesses to likely being the neighbor that’s frequently ordering pizza!

Could you tell our readers a little bit about yourself Nyla? I was born in a small town in Canada and through travel and living abroad I fell in love with city life, the sun, and beaches. I’m ambitious, playful, creative and those that know me best would say I’m disciplined, organized and a bit stubborn. I enjoy modeling, food, music and when I’m not in front of the camera I work as a finance professional (bet you wouldn’t have guessed).
What was your initial reaction when you were chosen to shoot for FHM? Excitement! FHM is a truly iconic brand that I’ve followed for years. I remember picking up issues when I was a teen and admiring the featured models. I’m so grateful for the opportunity, thank you!
How do you prepare for a shoot? While my fitness and nutrition routines stay consistent, I put in a lot of extra rest and pampering to feel my best so that my fun and playful vibe shines through. On the planning side, I like to discuss shoot concepts with the photographer and stylists to get a common vision of what we’re creating.
Could you describe your perfect man? He should be honest, open-minded, and have a good sense of humor. I enjoy deep conversations with someone who respectfully challenges my ideas. Bonus points for being an avid gym-goer and having great barbequing skills!
What is your idea of an ideal date? Good conversation and laughs over dinner, somewhere with a great view. I might also like to explore a new part of town to find a hidden coffee shop. I’m pretty laid back so ordering in pizza and watching Netflix also works!
What do you like to do for fun? I like to cook, work out, read, travel and hang out with interesting people. I’ve been known to skip town and disappear to somewhere with a hot tub and beautiful scenic views. I’m also an expert at taking naps!
Could you tell us a bit about your most embarrassing moment? Accidentally texting photos to a female co-worker that were intended for my partner. It happens!
What would you say is the most difficult part about being a model? I tend to take on too much and try to “do it all.” Balancing the desire to constantly create with the need for downtime to nurture and generate ideas is a struggle. Staying on top of my diet and exercise routine while traveling for a shoot can be hectic, so for me, it’s important to take time to reset and make sure I’m having fun doing what I love.
What are you most looking forward to doing this year? Traveling to new places, meeting new people and taking on all the creative opportunities I can.
Lastly, what is your life motto or a quote that means a lot to you? Be the change that you want to see. Everyone has something unique to contribute to the world so do that thing.
