So Crystal, could you tell us a little something about yourself? I’m a down to earth girl who likes the finer things in life. I love to travel and meet new people. I’m also a huge animal lover.
What do you enjoy most about what you do? I would say the traveling, and also the freedom of being able to express myself.
What would you say is your best feature? My eyes.
What makes you feel sexy? My birthday suit and a glass of whiskey.
What advice would you give to women aspiring to get into modeling? Never give up! You’re going to be told no a lot more than yes in this industry, you have to keep moving on and give it your all.
You have achieved so much in your modeling career, where do you go from here? I would like to break into acting a bit more. I secretly have always wanted to act on a soap opera. But no matter where life takes me I will always be grateful and happy with all my accomplishments.
What would you say has been your biggest break in your modeling career? Being published in both Playboy and Maxim were definitely big breaks for me.
There have been high points for you as a model, but what would you say has been your lowest point, and how did you get past it? I would say I’ve always had a sort of bombshell look and sometimes it makes it hard to book serious work. I’ve been told so many times that they want the customers to look at what they are selling and not focus on me and that I would just take the attention away from the product. I’m not given a fair chance to show them that I am more than just a pretty face. A good model is like a chameleon and can camouflage herself into any role that is needed. Opportunities like this have been hard for me. But I always keep my head up and believe in myself. I remind myself that 100 people can say no, but it only takes one person to say yes to book an amazing gig. 💗
As a model, you travel to some of the most exotic destinations. Name some of the craziest things you’ve had to do a shoot? Shooting underwater in the middle of the ocean. It was super scary for me because I have a phobia of sharks! I can’t lie I was pretty freaked out the whole time. I’ve also done a photoshoot with a live tiger! That was definitely an amazing experience but also scary at the same time.
We imagine things don’t always go as planned on set, how do you cope with stress when everything seems to go wrong? Fortunately for me, I’m a pretty easy-going person. It takes a lot to bother me, I tend to just roll with the punches. I try to remember that I cannot control everything that happens in life. I just try to remain calm, act like a lady, and of course, have fun!
Photoshoots can take hours, what is the first thing you do when the photographer says that’s a wrap? I grab my trusty sweatpants… they never let me down. Then it’s food time.
What do you do to relax when you have free time available to you? I honestly love laying in bed! There’s nothing better than laying in bed all day watching your favorite movies and binging on your favorite food.
If you could get involved in any cause, what would it be and why? Animal cruelty for sure. It absolutely breaks my heart. I can’t even fathom how people could do such horrible things to such innocent creatures. They love us unconditionally, it’s up to us to protect and take care of them as they cannot do it for themselves.
We all have our buttons, so what makes you really angry? A couple things for sure. I have really bad road rage! A slow driver in the left lane is one of my biggest pet peeves. Also, I hate a bully, nothing boils my blood more than that.
How would those close to you describe you? I know they would say that I truly am a kind person. I also think they would say that I am funny and charming.
