If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, what do you see when you look at yourself? Honestly, it depends on the day and how much sleep I’ve had. Some days I see someone soft
and feminine, other days I see someone strong and resilient. I don’t think beauty is one fixed
version of me.
What’s one thing you’ve learned from your journey as an influencer that you wish you
knew when you started? Pretty much everything. I was basically a social-media virgin until about two years ago I had never even had Facebook because I was so cautious about putting myself out there. It’s been a crash course the whole way.
Do you feel more powerful when you’re glamorous, playful, or raw and natural?
I definitely feel the most powerful when I’m glammed up and polished that version of me
feels untouchable. But I’m the happiest when I’m playful, and when I’m raw and natural, I feel
like that child inside me.
What do you believe makes true beauty: appearance, confidence, or soul? I think there are many kinds of beauty, and all of those things can express it in their own way.
Sometimes beauty shows up in a face, sometimes in confidence, and sometimes in who someone is underneath it isn’t just one source.
What’s the best wardrobe malfunction story that you can now laugh about? My best wardrobe malfunction was in Tokyo. I went to a high-end restaurant and didn’t know
you have to take your shoes off in a lot of places there. Under my pretty boots, I had mismatched socks with holes in them, definitely not cute, and I already felt so out of place there that I went bright red.
If you were stranded on a deserted island with only one accessory, what would it be?
A handbag… stashed with fishing line and hooks.
What are some of the things that attract you to a man? I’m attracted to a strong character, a good sense of humor, and someone who can read my body language without me having to say a word.
Three ultimate deal-breakers when it comes to men? If he can’t make me laugh, can’t keep his word, or can’t read a room, I’m out.
How do you nurture your self-love and mental strength? I nurture my mental strength through yoga, especially when I’m practicing with a teacher who really inspires me. And sometimes it’s as simple as having someone you genuinely trust to talk to. Being able to move your body and speak your truth does a lot for your head and your heart.
What is your life motto or a quote that means a lot to you? A quote that means a lot to me is: “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” It’s from Proverbs 4:23, and I’ve found it to be very true that what you allow into your heart shapes everything else in your life.
What message do you hope women take from your journey? I love Pilates and yoga. I’m a registered yoga teacher and am now training for my Pilates certification. After a surgery where I couldn’t even sit up without using my arms, I rebuilt my strength, and now I’m stronger than ever, and I hope other women try these practices too.
What’s the most daring photoshoot you’ve ever done, and did it push your limits? The most daring shoot I’ve done was a fully nude session on a beach with papaya and its juice
involved it turned into something very sensual and wild. The images were sexy, but I don’t
think I’ve reached my limits yet.
Which is more thrilling: the moment the camera clicks or the reaction from fans? I definitely love the positive feedback; it makes me glow.
What advice would you give women when it comes to love and relationships? That it’s better to be alone than with someone who doesn’t make you feel loved, seen, and valued.
If you had to give your followers one piece of advice for a fulfilling life, what would it
be? To stay open to new ways of thinking, sometimes you don’t even realize you’re limiting
yourself with your own thoughts.
